So this was the introduction to the battle system of Inuyasha: Juso no Kamen. Yep, a bit straightforward. If you can't read kanji (and believe me, I actually DID have to look some of this kanji up just to be sure... :P) you might be doing guesswork on what actions and magic will do what. You'll get hit with status effects like poison, sleep, etc. in battle, and of course, different potions will cure different effects. I'll translate and list those eventually. As you're in battle, Myouga will also come out and talk to you sometimes, and tell you that "things are changing." This is your "Unki no Tsuite" status. Baically this will tell you what kind of "luck" you'll have during your random battles. Basically the fights are typical RPG: turn-based. The turn rotation is shown up in the upper-right hand corner. When it's each character's turn, you get the choice of: TATAKAU
(fight) As
you head off to Akebi Village, each fighter begins with no skills. Inuyasha
learned his first skill right after the first battle, which is his "Sankontessou."
All in all, I got through this stage going, "I can't WAIT to get Sango and Miroku in battle now...!" |
